Does your business, employer or boss ever advertise a job on a job board?
If your answer is NO, we use a reputable recruiter whom we trust โ good answer, you win! You are already saving yourself time sourcing relevant people. Advance to GO!
However. If your answer is YES, we do advertise our jobs, then here is an important tip for you.
An advert will often inundate you with applications to deal with. A few relevant, and a lot of not-so-relevant candidates.
When was the last time you checked those candidates classed as “Not suitable” by the AI or job filters?
Every time? (Well done, you are doing a thorough job, but you should still use a recruiter to supply those candidates you may not be reaching!)
If your answer is ‘Nope, never check’, or “why bother, that’s what the filters / AI is there to do”, then you are most likely missing out on good calibre applicants.
At Jump IT Recruitment Solutions Limited, we do advertise roles alongside reaching out to our own network, and headhunting suitable candidates; it’s what a good recruiter should do.
One of the things Jump IT Recruitment Solutions Limited always does for any job advert we post is to check every single application we receive, INCLUDING those classed as โNOT suitableโ or โNot a fitโ by filters and AI.
Why?
Because several times this year, we have found good candidates hidden away in the โNot suitableโ filtered CVs.
Most have been because of their honesty about their relevance, or depth of experience, and actually, they have proven to be the most decent and relevant people.
Yes, this is a post for competitors & employers who do not use a recruiter necessarily, and YES, it may mean more candidates to review, but I wanted to post for the sake of candidates out there who can easily be dismissed.
