Should you stay with the same employer for years?

It is a question I am regularly asked.

So many of the clients we work with like longevity in CV employment history, especially if there has been career progress, too.

If you have stayed with the same employer and the tech stack hasn’t changed, then YES, it could seriously impact your career options, but most employers will have progressed technically.

Often, long-term employment also showcases career growth through business change and transformation and being adaptable.

It may be a personal view, but I like longevity and stability in a CV.
