Someone asked me last night what the last things a recruiter ever wants to hear from a client when you’ve started recruiting for them.

So here goes:

·        We’ve decided to go with another candidate

·        We are going to pause our recruitment (after you’ve found some great candidates)

·        Your candidate is really great, but we would like to see some more

·        We will come back with a decision next week

·        An internal candidate has unexpectedly come up

·        We have had a friend of an employee apply

·        The hiring manager is off for a few weeks now

·        We no longer have the budget to recruit
