Are the acronyms you are using on your CV letting you down?

This is something I see every single day when I read a CV – acronyms.

Now, not all of them are bad, and I am not advocating that everyone start writing Structured Query Language for SQL, but too often we see acronyms that send me searching Google for their meanings.

If someone with 30 years plus of reading CVs needs to do this, then is a more junior recruiter or an HR person doing the same? OR are they moving onto the next CV, which they do understand?

Often, the acronyms we see can be company-specific or very niche to a sector.

With so many applications for each role, could this be a small change that can make the difference in your job hunt?

If you are looking to review, change or send out your CV, PLEASE just check the use of acronyms.

It could be the difference between an interview and a rejection.
